The Archetypal Energies of Cancer

Next up we enter into a watery wave of infusing our internal emotions into our external reality.

Enter Cancer Season.

How will it affect us and what can we do to make the most of the Cancer energy?

The Cancerian Crab Shell and Your Proverbial Home

The crab walks through life taking its home with them.

Sometimes they upgrade to a new house, but besides that short transition, you won’t see them without their protective shell.

The shell of this Cancerian zodiac archetype represents our emotional body. Our physical body exists within our emotional body. Just like the crab and its shell, although we may upgrade from time to time, we are never without it.

It is a vital part of us, that offers protection from the world.

Cancer season will connect us with our deepest and primary emotions.

In Taurus season we dropped into what makes our physicality feel good, listening to our body about what type of outer reality we need to feel comfortable.

This time it is about our inner world.

What brings us a feeling of comfort, safety, and love.

We decide what that feeling is worth to us and how it shows up, who it shows up in.

Creating outside what we need inside.

A reflection.

Nurturing your emotional body

When we are nurturing our inner world we feel seen. Cancer season is rich with the capacity to help us hold and heal our emotional experiences.

Inspiring us to welcome our vulnerability, by softening to ourselves and our deepest feelings.

We are asked now to take the time to feel the deep emotions that drive our behavoir. To connect the dots between our inner world and the patterns in our life.

Take stock of our historical data.

In the wake of this allowing, we discover how to be graceful with our emotional process.

With this internal awareness, we discover the newfound courage to push through the discomfort of sharing these soft spots with those that are important to us.

Creating a new opening in our most important relationships.

This openness requires strong boundaries to protect the sacredness of what we hold in our hearts. Prevailing in this process is where we build a sturdy sense of self-reliance.

As we anchor into ourselves, we bring stability to the emotional body.

We learn that we can depend on our own inner world for rich sustenance and comfort.

We stop projecting needs outside of ourselves and grasp a true understanding that everything we do to nurture ourselves comes from within. Only then can it be reflected back to us from the outer circumstances.

Once again we experience that what we feel is what shows up in our lives. We can learn to harness the power of our emotional body to vibrate with the cosmos.

Our emotions are pure magnetism.

What we vibrate is what we manifest.

The Cancer energy will ask us to embrace adaptability, to flow with what is needed now.

To be present with the fact that each moment of the day brings a different circumstance.

When we slow the pacing of our lives we are able to tune into what needs immediate care, attention, and warmth.

Who needs a cozy home and a satisfying meal? We all do.

Those who we care for are always in transit to the next version of themselves, so when we are fluid in our tending it moves with them to support their highest evolution.

Humans thrive from emotional connection.

We need one another.

Cancer season asks not only how we nuture ourselves but those around us?

Honoring your Intuition

Cancer is a feminine sign, so we find ourselves in a season of receptive energy.

Ruled by the moon, this makes the energy not only receptive, but deeply personal.

Our intuition will be more pronounced.

In order to receive energy it must have somewhere to go.

A package delivered to any empty home sits outside until there is someone there to pick it up. Make time to be there, and you will receive hidden gems.

Physic receptivity is very high.

Cancer season will remind us that the space we create for ourselves is sacred.

Can we notice an emotion and get curious instead of pushing it away?

Where are we giving time to just be with our internal process?

Are we listening to the whispers of our intuition?

For spaciousness to exist we must construct boundaries around our delicate sensory processors, shield our energy from extraneous influences.

Cancer’s superpower lies within its sensitivity.

Having a dialed-in awareness of your emotional world and enlisting the power of your intuition gives you a ninja power unlike any other.

Think of this as throwing the powder on the lines of light that show where you will trip a bomb if you step on one.

Your intuition always guides you away from danger and onto an elevated path.

This sensitivity to feel into what’s coming creates an energetic boundary you can rely on.

By responding to your intuitive hits you will become more sensitive to its messages.

Popping into your awareness as a gentle nudge, a small voice, or a gut feeling, your intuition is always communicating with you.

Do you ever get the overwhelming desire to jump in the shower after a day of travel? Or the nudge to take a bath after a hard conversation?

These are messages from your intuition.

Water is very cleansing to the aura, so especially after any emotional intensity or contact with lots of different energy fields, being in the water will work wonders to re-stabilize your energy and cleanse it from debris.

Other intuitive messages can sound like this:

Send the email now.

Establish respect for your time.

Get a deposit.

Walk on the other side of the street.

Be patient.

Go anyways.

Trust.

Call your Mom.

Breathe.

Go for a hike.

The messages will be uniquely individual, but the loving guidance of our intuition is available to us in every moment we need it.

The more you embrace your sensitivity, the more of those bomb triggers you’ll step right over and be in the universal flow.

Rest & Be Together with your loved ones

The quiet pull of Cancer season is drawn not only within to our personal home, but to where the feelings of the home began for us.

The cozy comfort of our mother’s embrace.

Gathering around our kitchen table for a home-cooked meal.

The place we went for retreat, rejuvenation, and to have our basic needs met.

Family is the essence of our emotional expression.

It’s where we try things on, try things out, and experience the mirror of ourselves. The unconditional love is laced with lessons of self-reflection and working through our soul path alongside those we chose to incarnate with. For better or for worse, these are the people who shape our early experiences in life.

They are with us beyond time and space as the connection between parent and child, and among siblings, are the greatest energetic bonds that exists. We feel safe in the knowledge that these souls have our backs, and truly want to see us prosper.

Under the Cancer sky, we have the opportunity to heal past wounds, clear stagnation in the connections with our loved ones. It is a time to rise above the lesson and embrace the relationship as an instrument of divine growth.

Let your reformed stability allow you to accept others just as they are.

Focus on the ways in which your individual strengths can nurture your common goal: to have a productive family unit.

To be there for one another is to have and to hold each other.

We learn to be emotionally self-reliant by trusting our nature enough to let go in the present moment.

Use the container to come home to yourself.

That’s the relationship we’re all longing for.

Cancer Moon Cycle

Cancer Season Moon Cycle: the polarity balance

Cancer season brings us a beautiful new beginning (new moon) in its sign. There will also be a release (full moon) in the sign of Capricorn.

This juxtaposition brings balance to your system, if allowed, by exercising the polarity aspects of the opposing signs.

New moon energy: Jump in the Pool

The Cancer new moon will have us standing at the edge of a pool. We will be considering how the water will make us feel when we enter, will it be soothing or shocking? Are we ready to be wet? Will the water hold us and nurture us while we swim? Will we float?

These feelings will come up when looking forward into the energy of new opportunities that have manifested in front of us.

It’s the time at the new moon, to trust our intuition in that we will be able to take our stable emotional self into the new experience and enjoy it.

So go ahead, jump in the pool.

You are ready for this.

You have everything you need to thrive in this new environment.

Full moon energy:  Cut Distractions

After getting in touch with our emotional world during cancer season, the full moon in Capricorn will come in and ask us to honor the structure, discipline, and commitment it takes to provide ourselves with access to that balanced emotional state.

It will ask us to let go of anything that pulls us out of that stability.

Say no to overwhelm.

Make time for snuggles.

Let your emotions move through you and acknowledge their cellular memory.

You will be upgraded. The ability to hold higher frequencies is now installed. The space creates a focused attentiveness to consummate your most meaningful goals.

And by becoming responsibly safe within ourselves we are now safe for others.

Cancer Body part

Body Correlation of Cancer

How will Cancer season affect our bodies?

Cancer rules the stomach.

Our stomach’s main function is digestion. But food isn’t the only thing we digest, emotions are felt and processed through our gut as well.

The second brain in our digestive track is made up of over 100 million nerve cells. It is called the Enteric Nervous System (ENS).

The ENS is in constant communication with our Central Nervous System (CNS), which includes the brain and spine.

According to Dr. Emeran Mayer, author of ‘Mind-Gut Connection’, the expression of our emotions occurs in different regions of the GI tract.

Here’s where the stomach comes into play.

Low vibrational energies such as fear, anxiety, sadness, and anger are processed through the stomach and imbalances can alter the speed of digestion.

Emotions are energy in motion.

It’s only when we cut off their natural tendency to flow, by either shutting them down or on the flip side overreacting to them, that they cause suffering.

When channeled properly, emotions have a natural end point and are easily transmuted into a higher frequency.

As they circulate through us, they carry deep revelations about ourselves.

Follow the permission of the Cancerian sky to feel.

Need to cry, let those tears spill. They will flow until they stop.

Want to scream, do it. Just go in your car and let it rip.

Anxiety or rigidness got you all spun up and grouchy? Move your body.

Angry? Exercise, hard.

Overwhelmed? Try a bath. Read. Allow rest.

The Ultimate Guide to Cancer Season

Cancer is a cardinal sign. So while we will be asked to rest and receive this season, we will also be motivated to take action.

When a zodiac sign is in the cardinal position, it is an initiator. It is the part of the season that brings change and establishes a new phase, new weather, and new ways of being.

In order to really use the Cancer energy to aid our evolution, we can know that this season requires us to follow through on the guidance from our intuition.

Taking heart-aligned action with what we truly desire, the cardinal energy will shift our direction.

We are required to lead the change.

Take the chance.

Evolve forward.
